private tutor in Kentucky, 1816 - 1818; professor in Bowdoin College, 1818 - 1839; principal of the Westfield Normal School (then at Barre), 1839 - 1842; author of text-books on rhetoric and political economy; died at Brunswick, Me., Feb. 10, 1842. |
